Some works feel as if they are carved out of space itself. They stand there, waiting for the moment when you finally free yourself, take the clay, and make them visible—giving them a form that the eye can understand.

Prolegomena is an image, a state before the creative act. It is preparation, a movement inward, into oneself. Like a coiled spring, you compress, accumulating energy over time. But it is not tension, not strain - it is a point of balance, of harmony, of the infinite rhythm and cycle that we call creation.

Art and creativity arise from a multitude of emotions, reasons, and experiences. It may stem from awe at the harmony of the world, or from disappointment and sorrow at its injustice and imperfection. But it is always a cycle - gathering energy, then releasing it in a creative act.

And somewhere between accumulation and release lies that very point - the equilibrium of energies. In that moment, you are calm, serene, and ready to act.

The curved form, reaching upward, symbolizes transformation - a shift in direction, from inward movement to outward expansion. The blue hue speaks of freedom, of infinity, which is always around us if we allow ourselves to see it. The delicate lines of the pattern engage in a dialogue with symbols and images that remain with us on a subconscious level.

This sculpture can become a striking accent in your space if you are drawn to contemplation, to a quiet and peaceful home atmosphere. Observing it brings tranquility - its flowing forms and soft blue color soothe the soul and invite harmony. Pause for a moment, look at Prolegomena

Unique and inimitable

Each work in this series is unique and unique. I completely create each work by hand. It’s like they’re telling a story, complementing each other. And I’m trying to get deep detail. It helps to create character and emotion. It makes my images surprisingly vivid and unique.
My sculptures as people and each has its own unique features and emotions. The combination of details, colors and emotions leaves an indelible impression on the viewer. You want to look at them over and over again...every time you discover something new in them...

Several firings at a temperature 2260 F.

First I make a sculpture out of clay. It must be hollow inside and this makes the process very difficult. The work dries very slowly and it takes about a month. You cannot dry it quickly, otherwise it will crack. Next, the sculpture is fired in a kiln at a temperature of 2260F. (1240C).

After this, I paint it with colored glazes and fire the sculpture again. At each stage there is a risk that the sculpture will crack and you will have to do everything again.
‌Therefore, such sculptures are quite expensive and you can’t often buy them.

“Art is a necessity for humans, just as essential as eating and drinking. The need for beauty and the creativity that embodies it is inseparable from human existence, and without it, one might not even desire to live in this world.”

© F. M. Dostoevsky
