This series of works studies human relationships as a symbiosis of internal and external states. One of the manifestations of passion is burnout, absorption of a person, replacement of his personality. Like a second personality, she captures the soul and thoughts. And it often happens that a person does not know in advance how he will behave when overcome by passion...

Every year a new sculpture.

I started this series of works in 2019 and since then every year I create a new work from this series. Essentially, it is a new color that greatly influences the impression and character of the sculpture. It is very interesting how color changes the perception of these sculptures. Each new work did not appear by chance, and it is rather a reworking and experience of the audience’s perception of past works.

But passion is not only the dark side. Passion can be a source of extraordinary emotions, it can bring joy and make a person happy...
Passion inspires. How many works of art were created in a fit of passion...
How closely related is the dark side to the light side?

Everyone sees something different in them...

The purpose of this series of sculptures is to show the different nature of human passions. In each of these works, viewers find something of their own, something that they once felt and encountered through personal experience. These sculptures always evoke interest and response... And I collect this response. It seems to me that there is a connection between what a person sees in these sculptures and how he behaves in a fit of passion...

Only handmade

Each sculpture is unique and completely handmade.

First I make a sculpture out of clay. It must be hollow inside and this makes the process very difficult. The work dries very slowly and it takes about a month. You cannot dry it quickly, otherwise it will crack. Next, the sculpture is fired in a kiln at a temperature of 2260F.
(1240C).

After this, I paint it with colored glazes and fire the
sculpture again. At each stage there is a risk that the sculpture will crack and you will have to do everything again.
